THE MEANS OF COMMUNISM

Mst. Sgt. Amos River

Karl Marx, the founder of Communism, had a ready answer to pose as a front or a vouch for Communism against the skeptics who doubted his doctrine. To "sell" his philosophy, he laid the burden of Communism upon "science." "Science" would fulfill Communism, he claimed.

"Science" was gaining ground in its own right, and so for Marx to claim that "science" would provide for the fulfillment of Communism was to align with the contemporary belief that "science" was advancing mankind in every positive way.

"Science?" you ask. "How would science bring forth the reality of Communism?" Well, in support of his agenda, Marx laid down five basic "scientific laws"1: (1) There is no God. (2) Everything is material. (3) Human nature is the product of the economic environment in which the individual is raised. (4) A special environment creates a special class. (5) The proletariat must win.

Let us examine these so-called "scientific laws."

There is no God.

One infamous Communist, Lenin, once said, "Atheism is a natural and inseparable portion of Marxism, of the theory and practice of Scientific Socialism." 2 Where there is a supreme God, there is a less supreme man who is necessarily under subjection to the supreme God. Therefore, where there is a supreme God, man has limited power, especially since the supreme God may "interfere" at any time and take charge--unpredictably, according to His own counsel. In other words, as the anti-Communism expert, Dr. Fred C. Schwarz, put it, "If God exists and is in supreme command of the universe, He possesses discretionary power, and His actions cannot always be calculated accurately in advance." 3 The reality of a ruling God topples Communism's man-centered, predictable-circumstance-based sandcastle; so the idea of God must go--as a "law."

Everything is material.

This "law" provides Communism with motivation. See, if everything is material, including thoughts and all that is called "spirit," and man may manipulate the material world, then man may manipulate everything, including human nature. Furthermore, by defining everything as material, Communism places all of life within the reach of man's understanding (or potential understanding); so men have no need of God, and this supports the first principle of Atheism.

Human nature is the product of the economic environment in which the individual is raised.

"Your very ideas are but the outgrowth of the condition of your bourgeois production"--Karl Marx, Communist Manifesto, p. 67. This theory states that "the economic environment creates the ideas, attitudes and impulses that constitute human nature. ...The experiences of life, provided by the economic environment, are stored up within the structure of the brain and ultimately reveal themselves in the thoughts and emotions of the mature individual." 4 Human nature is therefore a changeable product based upon one's economic environment rather than an unchangeable, inherent condition.

A special environment creates a special class.

The process of production is a necessary component to our survival. We need food, clothing, housing, at least. Though the methods of production change and new tools are created for production, the production continues. Marx promoted that those people who shared the same experiences in the process of production "generated the same brain structure. Consequently, they thought and felt alike. They formed a class." 5

According to Marx, the capitalistic society, such as we know in America, produces two basic classes: the bourgeoisie, those who own the means of production; and the proletariat, those who labor in production for wages. There is a universal struggle or conflict between the bourgeoisie and the proletariat, said Marx. "He named this conflict the class struggle or the class war." 6

The proletariat must win.

Karl Marx taught that the class struggle must ultimately be won by the proletariat who would use revolution to bring about victory against the bourgeoisie. Eventually, he explained, the proletariat would establish a unified domination over the entire world. To incite fear, Marx closed out the Communist Manifesto with a sharp warning on these regards:

"Let the ruling classes tremble

at a Communistic revolution.

The proletarians have nothing to lose but their chains.

They have a world to win" (p. 96). 7

In time, he proposed, the proletariat-dominated world would evolve into a communistic utopia.

Conclusion on Marx's "laws"

What do we see in these five so-called "scientific laws"? We see a number of groundless conjectures that have no root in anything demonstratable. Atheism is a theory; really, a type of religion, but one without any supporting facts. Basing a system upon it is like building a house in the air--there is no place to even start a foundation. Materialism is another theory that cannot be scientifically demonstrated, because in order to universally define everything as "material," we would have to know about and understand everything in the universe, including the universe itself. Also, Marx's suggestions about human nature and one's environment are unproven theories based upon part-truths; the same rebuttal applies to law five about the victorious proletariat.

The real Karl Marx

When one assesses the five "scientific laws" supporting Communism, one finds nothing scientific or factual. Was Karl Marx that stupid to believe his own unscientific, unfounded "laws"? No. Intellectually, he was not stupid at all. But if he did not believe in the laws of Communism, what did he believe in? and why did he promote Communism?

Karl Marx was definitely not an Atheist. He hated God, but that proves that he believed in God. If you hate someone, you obviously believe that person exists. Actually, Marx was a backslidden Christian. As a young Christian man, he undertook his first written work called The Union of the Faithful with Christ. This work contains these touching words:

"Through love of Christ we turn our hearts at the same time toward our brethren who are inwardly bound to us and for whom He gave Himself in sacrifice. Union with Christ could give an inner elevation, comfort in sorrow, calm trust, and a heart susceptible to human love, to everything noble and great, not for the sake of ambition and glory, but only for the sake of Christ." 8

Sadly, before reaching his twenties, Marx chose a drastically different, dark path to walk upon. He made this confession in his poem "The Pale Maiden":

"Thus heaven I've forfeited,

I know it full well.

My soul, once true to God,

Is chosen for hell." 9

This path was abhorrently dark, but it was not atheistic. Atheists do not believe in God or Hell.

Marx fueled himself with evil, and his once touching words faded as he took upon himself a new, wicked temperament:

"Nothing but revenge is left to me." 10

Karl Marx spent the rest of his life in pursuit of revenge against God. It is certain that he maintained this vendetta until the end. His lasting hatred can be seen in numerous writings such as the many volumes of The Works of Marx and Engels. Those volumes contain blasphemous parodies of Scripture and specifically Christian terminologies that are grossly twisted and applied to aspects of Marxism. 11

Why Atheism? Why pose Communism as atheistic? It is obvious. (1) Atheism was making popular inroads in Marx's day. (2) Atheism leads to the destruction of life. You see, when any system trashes the idea of God, that system trashes the foundation for absolute moral standards. With no Lawgiver, there are no universal, absolute laws. Consequently, morality becomes the invention of the mighty--those in power take the role of Lawgiver; men play God. The terrors of such a reality have been splattered upon the world's garments by the swords of Stalin, Mao Tse-tung, Pol Pot, and others who have collectively slaughtered tens of millions of men, women, and children--all in the name of the Communist agenda. With no standards, who is to determine the value of life? especially human life? "I stepped on an ant, and killed it...I shot a man, and killed him"--in Atheism, there is no terminal difference. Communism, as an atheistic system, was therefore perfect for Marx's vendetta. Atheism is actually the foundation for the other four "laws" which, without Atheism, immediately fall apart. Marx was smart enough to know this and evil enough to promote a lie.

All for a vendetta

Marx had one end in mind: REVENGE. "I wish to avenge myself against the One who rules above," he scowled. 12 A young, embittered Marx declared,

"Embracing me, the world will dumbly pass away,

And then sink down to utter nothingness..." 13

The Atheism of Communism, along with Materialism, the teachings on human nature, and the belief in the dominance of the proletariat forces are all pretenses to achieve the real end of vengeance against God. Karl Marx did not care about the masses. He did not desire equity for the downtrodden. He purposefully designed Communism as the means to destroy God's creation: By helping to viciously destroy life, Marx thought he could spite the One who creates life.

Karl Marx "forfeited" Heaven and forsook the Lord. He admitted it was his choice. He paid for his choice. Since he forsook God, he embraced the only alternative master--the Devil (Ephesians 2:2), who is full of hatred and revenge.

The Bible tells us that those who forsake God are "inventors of evil things" (Romans 1:30). Naturally, then, as a backslider, Marx cruelly invented and unleashed Communism upon the world; it was the Devil who worked through Marx to "steal, kill, and destroy" by the means of Communism.

The Bible also tells us that men who forsake God are filled with wickedness, maliciousness, and spite (Romans 1:29-30). That explains a lot. All of Communism's atheistic talk is merely Marx's facade to maliciously mock God out of spite and pull a cloak of dark unbelief over the entire world, if possible.

Popular Communism is still promoted as a hard atheistic system. Many Communists are now real atheists, unlike their founding father. Marx's personal hatred for God translated well through atheistic terms and has taken root in others as a complete rejection of God's existence.

Marx's own hateful words scream at us all:

"With disdain

I will throw my gauntlet

Full in the face of the world,

And see the collapse

of this pygmy giant

Whose fall will not stifle my ardour.

Then will I wander

godlike and victorious

Through the ruins of the world

And, giving my words

an active force,

I will feel equal to the Creator." 14

What, then, does it mean for one to embrace or passively condone Communism? It means one has embraced the satanic and that which is meant for the ruination of the world.

The beginning and ending of Marx's Communism was designed to mock God, dethrone Him, destroy the world, and in the place of all that is good, even all that exists, erect a throne for Satan through a new and bitter god, Satan's puppet--Marx himself.

"And so, since they did not see fit to acknowledge God or approve of Him or consider Him worth the knowing, God gave them over to a base and condemned mind...until they were filled--permeated and saturated--with every kind of unrighteousness...[They were] secret backbiters...slanderers, hateful to and hating God...inventors of new forms of evil...Though they are fully aware of God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve to die, they not only do them themselves but approve and applaud others who practice them" (Rom. 1:28-32, AMP).
